Steven + Angela (engaged)

Sessions that run for three hours are either going really badly or really, really well. I’d say this went pretty well… this shoot was an “I can’t believe I get paid to do this!” kind-of-shoot… great looking couple, totally relaxed atmosphere and a location with tons of places to explore. We rolled in the hay, walked along the pond and hung out by a waterfall… Love can take you to some crazy places- enjoy.

She's a cutie, isn't she?

Ryan + Maria (wedding)

Every once in a while, we’ll get to do a wedding for someone we’ve known for a long time. While all weddings are fun for us, these are the weddings that mean the most. Maria’s family is one of a kind… some of the most selfless people we know and always a testimony of God’s grace. We love these guys terribly and it was an absolute honor to photograph their oldest daughter on her wedding day. Here are just a couple that jumped out at me- I hope to show more soon!

Ryan + Dani (wedding)

Ryan and Dani gave us total freedom to do pretty much whatever we wanted for this wedding (still sorry about the couch)… it’s really important for our clients to trust us with all our crazy ideas. Sometimes we have a vision that might not be easy to see at first… so we love it when a couple allows us lots of creative freedom. Thanks guys!

This party was a great time… we had a super photo booth (preview coming) and a really great crowd (I seriously thought the dance floor was going to give…)

Good times… anyway, enjoy the pics.

A little photo booth action- larger post to come!

Myla (Baby Portrait)

It’s a great feeling when a wedding client comes back and asks you to photograph their new baby. That has to be one of the best things about this job… seeing new families get started and grow- it sort of melts the heart in a soft and squooshy way. :)

Baby Myla is the daughter of Chris & Natalie who were married last summer. Enjoy the preview!

Kristopher & Christiana (weddin’)

I’m almost at a loss for words to describe these two. A few descriptives come to mind but they wouldn’t do justice to what these two are like in person. Unique? Funny? Crazy? Hilarious comes close…. Anyway, their wedding was wayyy long ago… and I’m ashamed it took me this long to post these. We love you guys… thanks again for standing in the soybean field for me! Enjoy the supercalifragalisticexpealidoscious-ness!

Kevin + Angie (wedding time)

These two are probably the most laid back couple I know- so easy going and friendly… it’s easy to understand why so many people showed up to their wedding. The ceremony was gorgeous and touching… and the reception was jumping all night long. Thanks to a super fun and creative wedding party and also some very festive guests (you know who you are), we got a ton of great moments for Kevin and Angie to remember. Thanks to you all- enjoy the preview!

Baby Leah (aka cutie pie)

A couple quick snaps from a recent baby portrait. This kid will look back and love me.

More to come!

Meet the awesome Mummaus.

Giving is Awesome WINNER! Some of you may remember our contest a while back- a person or family that embodies self-sacrifice, a giving spirit and general all around awesomeness. The Mummaus have served faithfully in their local church and even reached out to other churches in need to minister to the youngsters around here. We all know it takes a special person to be effective when dealing with younger people, teens, etc. It is difficult enough to deal with issues at that age, try to get across Biblical truth and be effective in ministering… but imagine doing that for TWO groups and finding time to love your own family as you should. Needless to say… these guys are full of God’s grace and love and it shows in their actions. I was very impressed and so happy to be able to do something good for them…
